The feeling that you might not want to go or do what your doing but you are there now so you cant really do anything about it.
The other good parts that I genuinly suffered through were not the moments of extreme sexuality or just disgusting imagery that showcases how ruined most of us are at a very young age but when time "stops" and we get a glimpse into her mind and feelings. The music is also brilliant and succeeds in giving you a dreamlike feeling or more precisely an underwater feeling.
The only problem I have with this film is that some scenes could have been made with a bit more care so as to not only show the scenes but also to give the feeling of those scenes to the audience. That must be the hardest part but it is also the most important. What I wanted from this film is that I dont just feel miserable because of the type of scenes that are shown but because the movie is able to transform you into that world and even before those scenes the mood is there and those scenes function as a gate that opens and by opening lets those wave of emotions hit you hard and clear so by the end you feel completely exhausted and desperate for a way out. So those last scenes of jubilation will not only have the character free but also the audience. Now if that would have succeded at all times you have a masterpiece. If I have to say an example I would say Taxi driver because it deals with dark themes as well and does have violence and sexuality (definitely 18+ but somehow it all feels organical and important for the movie as a whole.
Here I sometimes did and sometimes didnt have that feeling.
I knew this scene is for that purpose but because it was made in the way it was the final result was a feeling of deep sadness but without the very much needed anticipation or participation. It was just there.
